Unique custom WordPress theme with matching Photoshelter theme for african wildlife photographer Vincent Grahforst

The Challenge

Vincent wanted a unique website. After all, his style is unique. His photos invoke the powerful forces of the old African continent in a way that makes them both raw and beautiful.

My challenge was to capture all that in a complex website that would feature both lots of information about Vincent and his huge Portfolio of amazing photos.

Fortunately, the images spoke for themselves so the task was half way done before I even started.

The Solution

To meet Vincent’s request, I had to build a completely custom WordPress theme. It features a collage of his best-off photos as a background, with lions and elephants facing each other on the wild African turf.

The Homepage and secondary content pages are built in WordPress, with Photoshelter widgets and plugins constantly feeding new images, recent galleries and the slideshow. The Photoshelter pages have the same style, making for a seamless transition and a pleasant overall experience.

The Photoshelter Portfolio is one of a kind, the texts and buttons make room for the impressive images and each Photoshelter page is packed with options.
